ExitLog is a web-based recordkeeping product operated by Niktasoft (registered in Ontario, Canada). This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have. This is general information and not legal advice.

Information We Collect
We collect information to create and manage your account and to store your inspection records. Depending on how you use ExitLog, this may include:

How We Use Information
- Provide and maintain ExitLog (create accounts, store records, generate PDFs).
- Secure the product (prevent abuse, detect errors, and protect data).
- Provide support and respond to requests.
- Improve ExitLog (fix bugs, understand product usage at a high level, and enhance features).
Sharing
We share information only as needed to run ExitLog and comply with the law.
- Service providers: We use providers such as Vercel (hosting), Supabase (database/storage), and Formspree (form submissions) to deliver ExitLog. They process data on our behalf to provide these services.
- No selling: We do not sell your personal information.
- Legal requests: We may disclose information if required to comply with applicable law, a lawful request, or to protect our rights and users.
Where Data Is Processed
ExitLog is operated from Ontario, Canada. Depending on the service providers used to host and run ExitLog (such as Vercel, Supabase, and Formspree), data may be processed or stored in Canada or other countries.
Data Retention
- We retain customer content while your account is active so the service can function.
- You can request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us.
- Backups may persist for up to 30 days after deletion requests are processed.
Security
- We use encryption in transit (TLS) where supported.
- We use access controls to limit internal access to customer data.
- No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your Choices and Rights
- Update your profile information from within ExitLog where available.
- Request an export of your data.
- Request deletion of your account and associated data.
